Two non-joining fragments of pyxis, a with part of wall, floor and foot. Part of underside of floor glazed. Fragment b preserves the upper part of the wall with flange for lid. P.H. of a) 0.048; P.W. 0.08; max. dim. b) 0.057.

Fragment a preserves the lower drapery and feet of three women and the lower legs and feet of a male. The first two woman are frontal; the third one and the male (illustrated) stand to left. Below, laurel wreath to right. Fragment b (illustrated) shows the tops of the heads of two woman, one to left, the other to right. The latter may be the head of the left woman on a, who, to judge from her drapery, may have looked to right. Dilute glaze: drapery folds; central ribs of leaves. White: ribbons in hair, the left ribbon a row of dots.
