Description: | Rim of skyphos. Traces of orange on buff. ADDENDA 29 November 2017: One rim fragment with handle. From Lot 478, Layer VII A (depth 6-9.30m) Two non-joining rim sherds (fragments c and d). From Lot 478 : c) Layer W-A (depth 2-8m) d) Layer I (depth 0-3m) ADDENDA 2018: Five sherds mended into two fragments of a large deep bowl with flaring rim with a horizontal, round-section handle. The exterior decoration consists of a medium band at the rim and a panelled handle zone with central triglyph flanked by antithetic spirals with chevron fill. The handle is tri-splashed. The interior is monochrome with a medium reserved band on the rim. The paint looks evenly applied, but is badly flaked. Originally fired dark brown. There are possible traces of use-wear, but little of original surface survives. No signs of burning are present.
