Title:   Lekythos Fragment with Relief

Description:   Inscribed fragment.
Rim fragment broken all around.
Plain flat-topped rim. Inside, smooth finished in upper part only, then rough picked.
In relief two women preserved from waist up. Left figure seated or reclining; behind her the end of a couch or chair and a cushion. The other standing with arms stretched out across the first.
A rough cross has been hacked between the figures in later times, confusing the original composition.
Another cross has been roughly scratched near right edge of fragment.
Inscribed above head of left figure.
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA Joins to I 7173.
Context:   Found in Byzantine wall A, across the central part of the South Stoa II.
