Title:   Block: List of Names
Category:   Inscriptions
Description:   Inscribed block.
Two corners broken away and minor abrasions.
The four sides are smooth finished, with drafting below. Cut in 0.003m. for bottom 0.03m. Top (and presumably bottom) surface is rough picked to 0.06m. from each edge. Allifting hole in the center of the top is 0.095 X0.02m.
One of the short ends has been used for part of an inscription which must have continued on the block above. The list of names by demes is neatly centered, with the left and right ends (respectively) of the two columns 0.05m. from the two edges. Non-stoichedon but with straight margins both left and right, and with deme designations centered above names.
Top left corner missing, with 0.02m. illegible, so not certain if deme designation was here or on the block above.
Hymettian marble.
ADDENDA Another block probably from same monument in east face of gate tower south of the Stoa of Attalos.
Context:   Found in south wall of tower of the late Roman Fortification wall, at the southwest corner of the Library of Pantainos.
