Description:   Intact carved (carnelian?) ring bezel.
Oval, slightly curved back flaring to curved face. Helmeted, draped female figure facing right. Possibly winged, or holding drapery in her right hand (holds a cornucopia), bent up at the elbow, left hand held down with a sheat of wheat (?). Other indistinct attributes in background (below the wheat a poppy or a sistrum? At her feet a ship's rudder.) C. Lawton identifies her as Fortuna Panthea.
Dark orange, translucent stone.
Context:   Beneath North Byzantine road surface in loose fill.
