Title:   Carnelian Bead

Description:   Complete; slightly chipped at pierced ends (from use?)
Amygdaloid shape with six faceted sides, rounded edges. Hole drilled lengthwise but piercing do not align at the center of the bead.
A thin groove is incised longitudinally on either side of the largest facets, but roughly made and asymmetrical.
Orange carnelian with dark red veins.
Mycenaean LHIIIA.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Level 4 of southeast undercut of Mycenaean Chamber Tomb J 1:10.
