Title:   Water Jug Fragment with Gouged Decoration

Description:   Half of lower part only preserved; mended from two fragments; no remains of handle.
Low ring base; globular body. Decorated with broad shallow, vertical, grooves, done in the soft clay, beginning about 0.04m. above the base.
Red clay, fairly smooth.
ADDENDA 'Boiotian', probably from Thespiai (2nd-3rd c. A.D. context). Cf. Kabirion finds [JWH 1998].
Context:   Well, uncertain depth.
