Title:   Black Figure Lekanis Fragment

Description:   Lower edge of fragment, part of an outer figured zone, preserved. Upper edge, tips of rays. Underside covered with thin glaze save upper edge (toward center) where part of a reserved circle is preserved; parts of two double concentric bands of applied purple on the black. Depiction of two confronted sirens and a leopard. On figures, free use of rather careful incision, and of purple (laid on the black); faces of sirens and neck of leopard white laid on red.
