Description: | Depicts sphinxes and dancing women. Mended from many fragments. Both handles missing, also interior fragments. Rim and base slightly chipped, otherwise complete. Surface badly damaged and worn. On either side sphinxes face handles. Center, women dancing right, three on better preserved side, four on other. A few incised lines. Accessory red carelessly applied. Poor work. Distinctly offset lip. Foot similar to that of P 1140 in shape and decoration, including moulded band above; band of short strokes painted in glaze only. | |
