Description: | From a small round-bodied jug with short neck and flaring round mouth; nothing of base or edge of lip preserved. Wheel grooves on lower body; scraped groove at point of greatest circumference and at base of neck. On rounded shoulder between these grooves, checkerboard and diminishing squares in thinned clay paint and white. Lower handle attachment preserved. Wavy line of white around neck. Metallic glaze, brownish to black. Cf. P 17864. | |
