Description: | Fragment from rim, wall and bottom of shallow dish, with narrow low base ring, and wide flaring rim. On the rim a boukranion in low relief. Fine orange-red clay; good orange-red glaze. The dish was either very large, or more likely, oval or rectangular in shape. Clay suggests Late Roman A, but glaze and technique do not. | |
