Description: | A single fragment preserves some of the lower part of the pyxis. Small ring foot; horizontal projecting flange; vertical upper wall. Inscribed on the interior: <graphic> Inscribed on the exterior: <graphic> Certainly the formula of an oath (cf. note on the back of the card). Glazed fired black to brown. Reserved: space inside foot, with glazed circle; resting surface; edge of flange; scraped groove at junction of flange and wall. Cf. Graef and Langlotz II, (Akropolisvasen), no. 1445. | |
