Title:   Black Figure Lekythos

Description:   Neck, mouth and handle missing; restored in plaster. Otherwise no damage save scratches and very small chips. Scene depicts Athena and Enkelados(?) between spectators. A youth in himation holding a wand stands on either side of the combatants. Red fillets on the youth's hair and on the helmets(?). Red(?) in dots on the garments and on the shields and in the upper folds of Athena's dress (recognizable only by differences in firing). Athena's face and arm have fired a pale greenish brown. On shoulder, lotus buds and collar of small strokes around red band at base of neck. The glaze of the lower part unevenly thin brown and smoky blue; pair of originaly red lines around top.
