Title:   Basket-Handled Water Jar

Description:   Two-thirds of rim, with handle, and scattered pieces of wall, missing. Restored in plaster. Ring foot; broad body with continuous curve from base to flaring rim; no neck; point of greatest diameter near middle of wall.
Gritty clay, red at core. Light gray slip.
Fragments of several other basket-handled water jars stored with pottery from lower fill in B 159b. Note also P 14442 (Χ 999), from last basket of middle fill, probably to be associated with period of use, i.e. bottom fill.
ADDENDA NB - handle has been removed.
