Title:   Red Figure Bell Krater Fragment

Description:   Wall fragment from a large pot; glazed inside. Preserved are parts of two draped female figures. One to the left, perhaps seated, wears a thin-sleeved chiton and over it a heavier garment fastened on the shoulder by a button or brooch. Part of her necklace is also preserved. The other, who stands behind, facing left, wears a thin Doric chiton. Her right hand is outstretched; in her left is a spray of olive.
Very careful work. Relief contour. Added clay for necklace, buttons and olives.
Context:   Well, container 1, top fill.
