Title:   Black Figure Lekythos

Description:   Mended from many pieces; the shape complete but a large part of the surface has peeled off. Plump shoulder lekythos; small echinus mouth; flaring ring foot. On the shoulder, a bird, standing right, with spread wings; on the body, two nude riders facing each other: of the left hand horse, only head and forelegs remain. Purple: band around edge of lip, around neck, and around upper edge of glazed lower wall. Also for the horse's mane, and for a broad stripe on his rump. Considerable incision.
