Title:   Red Figure Skyphos

Description:   About half the wall preserved, with one handle and trace of the other. Restored in plaster. The shape is considerably broader and less eggy than in the case of the owl kotyle from the middle fill of this well P 16466 (ΓΓ 901), more like an ordinary kotyle. Plump ring foot. The preserved handle is horizontal, and the slight trace remaining of the other indicates that it was horizontal also. On either side, owl between olive sprays. No relief contours; brown for the head feathers.
Firm blue-black glaze rather carelessly applied. The resting surface of the foot reserved, and the space within, this with dot and circle at center.
