Description: | Mended from many pieces; fragments of rim and bottom missing; restored in plaster. Broad floor; no base. Low rounded wall; projecting rim, flat but with a raised ridge around the outer edge and a vertical face; four scallopped lugs on the two opposite sides, attached to the vertical face. Two grooves near center of floor. Flaky gray clay; gray glaze badly worn. ADDENDA: Seems hardly local ware. NE Aegean product? or somewhere else? (JWH 1998). | |
