Description: | Mended from many pieces; small fragments of wall missing and restored. Deep ovoid body narrowing, well down, to a small low ring foot; narrow wheel ridged neck; angular lip, sharply projecting. Short ridged handles, round in section, from middle of neck to shoulder. Groove at line of lower handle attachment. Brownish clay with bits; lighter slip. Coarsely made and dented in the process; not improved by the tinting of the plaster restorations, the paint having run on to the pot wall. | |
