Description: | A small fragment of the shoulder and the upper part of the wall of the side are preserved. On the shoulder a warrior is running left in full battle array: sword, helmet, greaves, shield and (presumably) spear in raised right hand. On his shield an eagle seen in perspective with outstretched wings. Behind him a quiet spectator in chiton and himation left. The head of a filleted boy left is preserved on the side. On either side, spear points(?). The interior is unglazed; good black glaze on the figures; red on the chiton of the warrior and spectator and on fillets of spectator and boy on the side; white for dots of chiton of spectator, sword strap and the emblem of the shield. | |
