Category: | Pottery | |
Description: | Fragments of a Type B amphora. Essential parts are preserved to show the shape and decoration scheme; many non-joining fragments. Torus foot, a scraped groove at its top; the underside and the lower part of the outer face reserved. Top of rim reserved; wreath on the neck; sets of maeander interrupted by saltires below the picture. Tongues at the lower attachments of the handles. A) Man to right, he holds a lyre in the right hand, stick in the left. Wreath, himation leaving the right shoulder free.
