Title:   Storage Amphora

Description:   Mended from many pieces; parts of body restored in plaster. One handle and part of shoulder missing. Balloon body; short straight neck; heavy, flaring rim, rounded on outside and set off from neck by a ridge. Rolled handles, attached below rim and on shoulder. Heavy rounded ridge on inside where neck joins shoulder. Rim, including ridge, outside of handles and all of body covered with glaze. Neck and adjoining zone on shoulder reserved. On each side of neck, two concentric circle ornaments of two circles and a dot each. Reserved band with four narrow bands of glaze below handles.
Pinkish-buff clay; streaky orange to black glaze, greatly worn.
