Description:   Mended from many fragments. Small section of wall and rim restored in plaster. Handles missing except for stub of one. Ring foot with circles on underside. Inside glazed except for reserved line just below rim; two red lines, widely spaced, on glaze. Handles near rim; handle zone decorated with hanging maeander hooks and cross ornament; then thin red band. Main zone framed by triple lines and divided by a lotus ornament: three dogs at right pursuing a hare who jumps a fourth dog in front. Zigzags and Maltese cross ornaments in field. Red on lotus bud, dogs' bodies, dots on hare. Red band below and rays.
Black glaze. Pink buff clay.

ADDENDA Two joining fragments preserving one handle were found in context in July 1998 and subsequently mended (JKP).
