Title:   Black Glaze Skyphos

Description:   Mended from many pieces; the base complete, and about a quarter of the rim and side walls with one handle, preserved. The base is small and nearly flat, rising slightly toward the center; the walls of the cup are more spreading and the edge of the rim is sharper than in the ordinary ring-footed type, as P 2372.
Inside of handle and handle space reserved, also the base, which has a brown line around the outer edge, beneath, and two concentric circles at the center.
Pink wash on the reserved surfaces. Heavy glaze, slightly grayed in firing.
