Title:   Miniature Amphora with Glaze Decoration

Description:   Mended from several fragments. Fragment missing from lip and belly. Squat belly and neck tapering to flaring lip which curls inward at top. Handles curve out from belly and into neck just below lip. Carelessly slipped inside. Decorated with two bands of orange slip on belly.
Buff clay.

Context:   N.W. extension of S.E-N.W. water channel trench beneath modern house cellar south of Southwest Fountain House Annex.
