Description: | a) Fragments of rim. Almost half of the diameter preserved in seven joining fragments. Moulded rim. Band of leaves, with narrow strip of tongue pattern below. The scene appears to be a horse race, with the head of a youth, one ear of a horse, and three hands with whips at least partially visible. b) Small fragment of same rim: three joining fragments. c) Three joining fragments from wall. Horse's head with ear missing. Finely drawn black lines for facial features; mane and muscle lines done in yellowish slip, reins in purple. At left, top of head of rider? Good black glaze with two reserved lines inside. | |
