Title:   Kantharos with Graffito: West Slope

Description:   Mended from several pieces; about five-sixths complete. Thick moulded ring foot; elongated body with largest diameter about halfway up; high, slightly tapering neck; vertical strap handles with applied masks at tops, from shoulder to below rim. Neck area offset by scraped grooves and decorated with wave pattern of incised lines and added white.
Incised on lower part of body: <graphic>
Pale orange clay. Foot, lower part of body and inside glazed reddish-brown; black glaze on upper part of body.
Context:   Cistern, boxes XIX and XX.
