Title:   Bowl Fragment: West Slope

Description:   Mended from five pieces; large chips missing; over half preserved. Very low ring foot with scraped groove under glaze around it; foot concave within; curved flaring side walls; plain rim. Inside decoration: two concentric scraped grooves, the inner one filled with miltos; outside these grooves, eight palmettes or five-pointed leaves alternating in white and tan slip; between the leaves are groups of eight dots in added white. Three lightly scraped grooves just below rim.
Orange clay. Brownish metallic glaze. Added white paint and tan slip.
Context:   Cistern, various boxes.
