Title:   Red Figure Pelike Fragment

Description:   Mended from ten pieces. Broken all around. At right, a youth wearing a himation leans on his knobbed staff, facing left. Though face and feet are in profile we see his back straight on. His weight is on his left foot. He wears a fillet in his hair in added purple. His right hand is on his hip, his left extended holding an oval object (egg, fruit) out to a female figure at left. She faces right, wearing chiton and himation, her left arm upraised. Her torso is shown frontally. Her right hand rests on her hip. Her hair is bound up in purple fillet, she wears an earring. Ground line is a reserved band. Border at sides is zig-zags and dots. Inside unglazed.
Black glaze. Orange clay.
Additional fragment gives the youth's head and part of the upper border.
