Title:   Lekane Fragment

Description:   Mended from five pieces; none of the lower part preserved. The flaring sides straighten toward the top; the rim is a simple thickening, projecting slightly on the outside. Blunt rounded spout, bridged by rim.
Heavy fabric; pinkish buff clay. Reddish brown to black glaze on the inside, on the outside to just below the rim, and for a broad band around the body below the spout, and all over the spout.
Context:   North room of S.W. building. Sand fill over stereo; with geometric, orientalizing and black glazed sherds.
