Description:   a) 6 joining fragments.

A total of 11 fragments preserving portion of body of large closed vessel, probably amphora. Fragments only slightly distorted, with the exterior surface partly vitrified and cracked (most noticeable on fragment b).
Clay body fired two tone: interior surface and inner part of clay core fired close to pink 7.5YR 7/4; outer clay body and exterior surface fired variously to grayish brown and light brownish gray 10YR 5/2-6/2. Exterior decorated with two preserved horizontal bands.

Context:   Well, 4th, 5th and 8th baskets as well as from "sherds found in examining fill from well".
