Title:   Phaleron Cup

Description:   Intact except for chip at rim and small hole on underside. Flat base. Body rises steeply to sharply flaring, everted, rim. Vertical handle attached from lower body directly to lip. Paint rather irregularly applied, in places thinly, fired red. Underside reserved except for minor dribbles of paint. Exterior painted solid (mottled). Handle crudely barred. Interior painted solid except for reserved rim top, which is decorated with three horizontal bands.
Clay fired close to light red 2.5 YR 6/ 6-6/ 8 and reddish-yellow 5YR 7/ 6 - 6/ 6.
