Title:   Black Glaze Plate Fragments

Description:   Mended from many fragments. Nearly complete except for small sections of wall and piece of rim. Two loose rim fragments. Ring foot with groove on outer face. Out-turned flat rim, two horizontal ribbon handles rising just above rim. Interior glazed except for two reserved bands; rim also reserved, with a series of sloppy dots. Exterior unglazed, with a wide band at rim, one at junction with foot and one midway. Outer face of handles glazed. Dimple in center inside.
Matte black glaze, soft orange fabric.
Context:   Well. Baskets 46, 50, 51.
