Description: | Two joining fragments preserving small portion of base and lower wall of a large wheelmade vessel. Tall ring foot, with underside hollowed out; lower wall rising at an angle of about 45 degrees. Paint well adhering, fired dark brown on interior; dark red to reddish brown on exterior. Horizontal bands on lower outside face of foot; thinner band on lower wall. At least three concentric bands/rings on interior. Fabric fine; clay core fired close to very pale brown 10YR 7/3; surfaces close to pink 5YR 7/4 and 7.5YR 7/4. | |
