Title:   Mycenaean Piriform Jar

Description:   Complete but for three small chips at rim and two large at foot. Spalling underside. Glaze very worn and cracked where thick.
Wide concave neck with projecting rim. Three rolled handles set horizontally high on shoulder. Piriform body. Slightly splaying ring foot.
Glazed: neck, handles, and banding on lower body. On shoulder, scale pattern. Below on wall, two sets of framing bands. Brown to black glaze.
Pale pinkish-yellow fabric.
Mycenaean LH IIIA. Similar to Agora XIII, no. XXIV-7 (P 23534).
