Title:   Piriform Stirrup Jar

Description:   Mended from many fragments. Missing pieces of body; one chip at spout; paint very worn and flaking.
Narrow lower body with stem, making a piriform shape; domed foot with flat resting surface. Light groove separates body from shoulder.

In the interior upper part of vessel, thickened edges of opening for the attachment of the false spout as a second piece with the visible string marks on its bottom.
Dark brown paint: broad bands around body separated by zones with added white pigment; fine line groups at shoulder; bands around spout; bands around handles and false spout.
Pinkish-yellow buff fabric.
LH IIIB2 or LH IIIC early, given the lack of shoulder decoration.
