Description:   Flaring ring foot, ovoid body, shallow groove at base of neck, raised ring half way up neck; trefoil mouth. One high vertical strap handle, shoulder to back of rim.
The siren, standing right, looking back left, covers most of the body of the vase, but her left wing being much smaller than her right wing allows space for a water bird, facing her, on one side. Blob and ring rosettes in field.
The glaze metallic black, brown; a stripe down the outside of the handle; none inside the neck or on the underside of the foot. Purple red, a band across wings and breast of siren and on wing and breast of water fowl.
Pale pinkish buff clay.
Attic Orientalizing.
