Title:   Red Figure Lebes Stand Fragment

Description:   Along the top is a band of alternating lotus and palmette pattern, strongly conventionalized; beneath is a band of narrow, pointed leaves. This band crowns two Doric columns, of which the abacus, echinus, and part of the shafts are preserved. The necking is ornamented with an ovolo band. Traces of red (or golden brown) are to be seen in the palmettes and the flutes of the columns.
Interior, bands of black glaze alternating with reserved bands.
Attic clay.
