Title:   Red Figure Kantharos Fragment
Description:   a) Rim fragment. A woman, wearing an embroidered ependytes over her chiton stands left; in her left hand an object (phiale?). Behind her, at the right of the fragment, the right arm and part of the side of a man wearing an himation, and holding a cross-topped staff in his right hand.
b) Part of a biga, left. Hind of one horse, tail of the other, part of the wheel of the chariot, reins and - above them.
Fine relief contour. White, painted over, for the woman's hair. Thin fabric that of b) very slightly heavier than that of a).
Context:   a) Assembly Place, Filling of Period III.
