Description: | Broken all around The figures were modeled in a high relief, on the face of a thin flat plaque, to the back of which an irregular mass of clay was attached to provide a grip. On the left hand side sits a female figure of mature years, her body turned slightly towards the left but her gaze directed rather backward toward the right. She is clad in a high girt peplos and supports a tall torch in the crook of her left arm. By her left side sat another figure grasping a tall sceptre in the right hand. Clay: fine, buff, slightly micaceous, shows no trace of paint nor of burning. | |
