Description: | The head is missing. The figure is solid and roughly shaped behind. The right arm and head (?) was never applied. Probably a trial piece. A female figure, clad in chiton and himation sits in an angular pose. On her hap she seems to have held something which has disappeared.: a box or mirror? The reverse is so shaped as to fit on a bench (shelf) or stool (not a throne), now missing. Clay: Fine, soft, buff. There is no certain base of color. | |
