Title:   Draped Figure Fragment
Category:   Sculpture
Description:   Lower part of a statue.
Preserved are the ends of five flat folds in the archaic manner, their slightly oblique vertical lines indicating motion to the left. At the left end there seems to be the indication of a foot holding back a sixth fold: curve for heel and swelling front and back very summarily rendered. Fragment flat and narrow, with drapery widening slightly towards a plinth, of which part is preserved. Workmanship very fair; surface carefully finished both at front and back.
In the marble, below the lifted foot a cutting, ca. 0.03m. square in section, with drill holes in the four corners.
Island marble, probably Parian.
