Description: | Mantled elderly man, standing three-quarters view to right, in high relief. Figure is very battered; shoulders to waist with right upper arm preserved. He is sheared away from the back slab of the relief. Original surface found only on drapery folds on lower right. Right arm was bent and hand clasped according to elbow and muscles. Drapery, his thick mantle wrapped about his waist, exposing his chest and right arm, is caught on the left. Pentelic marble. | |
