Title:   Draped Female Figure Fragment from Relief
Category:   Sculpture
Description:   A female figure in high relief, preserved from just below the waist to the neck. The right hand of a second figure rests on the back part of her left shoulder; the second figure apparently stood to the right, with the right arm about the shoulder of the first. The figure is standing slightly to the right, with right arm hanging loose at the side, the forearm slightly forward and to the right. The hand is missing. The left arm is close to the body; it is bent at the elbow, and over it is thrown the end of her cloak, in heavy folds. The fingertips of the left hand are missing.
The figure wears a thin chiton, of which the overfold just reached below the breasts. The chiton is fastened at intervals along the upper arms and is held at the waist by a narrow girdle. Three small holes along the belt show that she originally wore a buckle of some sort.
