Title:   Grave Relief Fragment

Description:   Relief face and back only preserved, broken at top, sides and bottom. The back shows much wear, indicating use as a door sill.
At the right, there is a standing draped figure, of which the head, shoulders, lower legs and feet are missing, in fairly high relief. With his right hand, he holds his himation closely around him letting the end fall in straight folds at his left side almost from the shoulder. With his left hand, he holds up several folds probably to leave the left foot free. At the right of this figure, in low relief, is a seated child with long hair, looking up at him.
The background has distinct chisel marks.
Pentelic marble.
Context:   In surface fill, lying face down next to a modern wall.
