Title:   Terracotta Lamps
Author:   Broneer, Oscar
Abstract:   The oil lamps found during excavations at Corinth represent a good sampling of different periods, from Archaic Greek to Byzantine times, with a particular wealth of material from earlier periods. After an introduction dealing with some general problems, the author proceeds directly to a classification of 28 types, of which 7 are Greek, 13 are Hellenistic, and the rest Roman and later. There follows a catalogue in which over 1,500 specimens are described.
