[Agora Deposit] R 18-19:1: Pyre

Grave (?). Identified as pyre by SIR. Pyre pots dispersed in fill over a pebble floor, with pottery ranging from the 5th c. B.C. to 3rd c. A.D. (lot ΑΑ 168), and lying directly below modern fill. No burning ... 400-350 B.C ... Hesperia Suppl. 47 (2013), no. 65, p. 177, fig. 117.

[Agora Deposit] J 8:3: Double Pit Grave

Mycenaean Double Grave (Graves A and B). Grave A was in Layer II. We laid a skull and a few other bones, three vases and a stone bead. We have dug to a maximum of about 0.06m below the top of Layer II ... Myc. IIIA/B ... Hesperia 22 (1953), p. 41 ... Agora XIII, pp. 195-196, 274, pls. 42, 65, 84 (Grave XI).
