Most of underside, one-third of foot, half of body, and all of handle and mouth missing. Body partly restored.

Molded ring foot; flat resting surface. Lower wall straight, flaring out to meet convex shoulder at sharp angle. Shallow groove above angle, two grooves at base of thin neck. One groove at top of preserved section of neck. Shoulder divided into two registers by groove. Upper register: incised running spiral. Lower register: ivy garland with incised stems, orange leaves overpainted white. At lower border, white dots between thin incised lines. On neck, spearhead necklace with incised band. Orange pendants with white dots at tips and on their bodies, attached to band by incised zigzag line.

Two incised ties at ends, with trailing tips. Fine, hard, slightly micaceous, reddish yellow fabric (5YR 6/6); shiny black glaze.

Cf. 1662 (smaller, glazed red, but with very similar decoration). A nearly identical piece comes from a cistern on the south slope of the Akropolis with Sullan debris and a few later pieces (Vogeikoff 1993, D 40, p. 140, fig. 84, pl. 216 [inv. 1959-NAK-436]).

For a piece of similar shape but completely different fabric, see Kaltsas 1990, p. 39, fig. 8, pl. 5:γ, δ (Pylos).
